Projects

Throughout my studies I have done many projects that enhance my skills. In this section is my notable projects that are worth sharing.

Final Year Project: Design and Analysis of Multi-Mission Robot

2021 | COURSE PROJECT
COURSE: UNDERGRADUATE PROJECT
● Bomb threatening and terrorist attack in Malaysia isincreasing day by day.
● There are a lot injury and fatal cases reported in military or police during their missions.
● A multi-mission robot will replacing human bomb squad inperforming their task to minimize the risk of causalities since robots are precise and have good speed
● Designed a 3D robot with multiple mechanism that specialized in removing hazardous object such as bomb and site sample or use in reconnaissance
● A manipulator and gripper mechanism are included for the robot arm for reaching objects to pick up and place an object.
● Robot have a mechanism called flipper that will help its mobility to climb up stairs and rough terrain.
● Using cycloidal drive gearing mechanism in order to produce more output torque so the robot’s arm can withstand with a certain amount of load.
● Analyzed the robot design and mechanism using SOLIDWORKS Simulation to determine the strength and the maximum load it can withstand.

Stacking Machine

2020 | INTERNSHIP
COURSE: UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIP
● Responsible in designing, fabrication and assembling glove stacking machine.

Convertible Wheelchair Design

2020 | COURSE PROJECT
COURSE: SYSTEM DESIGN
● Designed a 3D convertible wheelchair for paralyzed patients for easier care.
● Must ensure easier handling in three conditions which are transferring patients to the bed, toilet and vehicle.
● Paralyzed patients are heavier, therefore a special mechanism introduced will help caretaker to transferring patient easily.
● Analyzed in SOLIDWORK Simulation to determine the critical parts while the wheelchair is being used.

Reciprocating Compressor for Refrigerator

2020 | COURSE PROJECT
COURSE: COMPONENT DESIGN
● Designed a two stroke - two cylinder reciprocating type of compressor for refrigerator.
● Driven by a motor and a two stage gearbox.
● Focused on gearbox analysis of torque, life cycle and strength.
● Determine the motor that will be used to operate the gearbox in order to obtain the desired output torque for the reciprocating compressor.

Recycling Sorting Machine

2018 | INVENTION COMPETITION
SCHOOL OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, UTM
● Designed and prototype a sorting machine that was made out of recycle material such as cardboard.
● Able to sort three types of trash: aluminum can, box drink and water bottle.
● Consist of a feeder mechanism to feed the trash into the sorting machine and a sorting mechanism to sort different types of trash.

Mini Go-Kart

2017 | MINI GO-KART COMPETITION
SCHOOL OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, UTM
● Designed and fabricated a mini go-kart that driven by a cordless drill.
● Involved in steel machining: lathe, drilling and welding for steering mechanism and shaft.
● Engaged in wood machining for the mini go-kart chassis.
● Assembled and compete for short distance race.

Abu Dhabi F1 in Schools™ 2014 World Finals

2014 | STEM COMPETITION
F1 in Schools™, Ferrari world ABU DHABI
● Represented Malaysia with the collaboration of the Germany team competing for F1 in Schools™ 2014 World Finals.
● Competing with 36 teams around the world.
● Appointed as design engineer for the team that was responsible in designing an F1 miniature car.
● F1 miniature car designed in SOLIDWORKS and performed flow simulation to obtain the car drag and downforce.
● Development of the car is made in order to achieve most aerodynamic and lowest drag.
